Q:Using Avast Antivirus with Silah Time tracking system

Follow

If you are running Avast Internet Security, you might get a pop-up message from Avast that might prevent Silah Time tracking from running.  The following steps will show you how to exclude Silah from Avast's blocking features.

1.)  With Avast installed and running, click on the Avast icon in the system tray to open it:

3.)  At the bottom of the page where it says "Files that will be excluded from automatic sandboxing", there is an option to add an application.  Click browse to find the Silah executable (.exe) file:

Here's the complete path of Silah in Windows XP,Vista,7 and above :

C:\Program Files\silah\silah.exe

For 64-bit operating systems, the program folder is labeled as "Program Files (x86)"

4.)  Click on the silah icon and click on "Open":

5.)  The complete path of silah will be added. You can then click on "Add":

6.)  Congratulations! You can now run silah normally without getting a pop-up from Avast:
